Houston continues to chase their first-ever undefeated season with NCAA record holder Case Keenum leading the Cougars into Tulane.
Houston quarterback Case Keenum has already secured his place in the NCAA record books. Now, he's trying to get the Cougars to similar heights, as they close in on the school's first-ever undefeated season.
Already the NCAA career record holder in total yardage and touchdown passes, Keenum is now the career passing yardage leader after throwing for 407 yards and two touchdowns in the Cougars' win over UAB last week. Keenum's 2011 totals now sit at 3,626 passing yards and 34 touchdowns with just three interceptions. That's probably the biggest reason the Cougars now sit at 9-0 overall and 5-0 in Conference USA.
On Thursday, they'll face a Tulane team that is had a very different kind of season. The Green Wave (2-8, 1-5 CUSA) are among the worst defensive teams in college football, allowing 36.0 points per game (111th) and are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak.
