Despite disappointing records, this year's match up between the Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes could be a flashback to their match ups in each school's hay-day.
The Florida State Seminoles are trying to put themselves in position for the ACC incase a team like Clemson goes on a late season skid, and since quarterback E.J. Manuel has come back from his shoulder injury, the Noles offense has put up massive points. Freshman running back Devonta Freeman has taken over as the Noles primary back, rushing for 5 touchdowns in the past four games.
The Noles defense has come alive as well since the loss to Wake Forest, not allowing an opponent to score more than 16 points in the last four games. Their pass rush will look to harass Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jacory Harris into making mistakes, which he hasn't the past few games.
The Hurricanes had a misstep against Virginia two weeks, but the Hurricanes have been playing well as of late, especially on offense. Jacory Harris has thrown just four total interceptions this season, significantly cutting down on his mistakes. Sophomore running back Lamar Miller has had a fantastic season, rushing for over 100 yards in all but three games.
