Texas Vs. Missouri Score: James Franklin Leads Tigers To An Early Lead

Stay connected with SB Nation

James Franklin's season has had its share of ups and downs -- but so far, the game against Texas today would definitely go into the former category. Franklin completed his first nine passes for 113 yards through the air and ran for a two-yard touchdown to give his team an early 7-3 lead.

David Ash hasn't been bad for Texas, going 7-of-12 passing for 70 yards so far. Jeremy Hills is Texas' leading rusher, picking up 30 yards on seven carries; the Longhorns have ground out a total of 48 yards when you include Ash's 12-yard sack. Missouri's running game has 64 yards, including Kendial Lawrence's 31 yards on four rushes.
