Texas Vs. Missouri Score Update: Longhorns Get A Safety But Still Trail

Stay connected with SB Nation

Texas has scored the ever-interesting safety against Missouri. A half-dozen more of those, and they'll have this thing all tied up.

The Longhorns still trail, 17-5, after the 12-yard loss by James Franklin to give them two more points. That followed a Trey Barrow 19-yard field goal that gave Texas its first score. The safety is almost as effective as anything else Texas has going on right now. Its quarterbacks are a combined 11-of-22 for 103 yards, and the running game has managed just 67 yards as the third quarter comes to a close.

For Missouri, Franklin is 15-of-20 for 178 yards. Kendial Lawrence has 93 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
