Wisconsin isn't a national championship contender anymore, but the Badgers are still alive in the Big Ten. And taking care of Minnesota, as they are well on the way to doing, is just a thing the Badgers have to do. They've run up a 14-0 lead on the Gophers in the first quarter.
As per usual with Wisconsin, that offensive efficiency is all about balance. Russell Wilson's completed all eight of his throws for 97 yards and a touchdown, and Montee Ball has 29 yards and a touchdown for the Badgers' running game. And Wisconsin's averaging five yards a carry on the ground.
Minnesota, by contrast, had negative-four yards at one point in the quarter.
