Wisconsin Vs. Minnesota Final Score: Badgers Demolish Gophers, 42-13

Stay connected with SB Nation

Wisconsin had made a habit of blowing out hapless Big Ten teams this year. And there is no Big Ten team more hapless this year than Minnesota. So it really came as no surprise when the Badgers laid down a 42-13 thrashing of the Gophers.

Russell Wilson was 16-of-17 for 177 yards and four touchdowns. He tacked on 20 yards rushing on seven carries. Montee Ball has 167 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 23 rushes. James White added 87 yards on 14 attempts. Wilson's favorite target was undoubtedly Nick Toon, who grabbed eight passes for 99 yards and both scores.

Minnesota, for its part, managed just 160 yards and 10 first downs all day. MarQueis Gray had a passer rating of 59.2 -- which, for those of you unfamiliar with the vagaries of that statistic, is very, very bad. (He was 6-of-14 for 51 yards and an interception.) Gray did have 68 yards on 19 carries, which is the most any Minnesota player gained in any offensive category.
