Stay connected with SB Nation

Missouri running back Henry Josey suffered a gruesome leg injury in the Tigers' win over Texas on Saturday afternoon. Josey, the Tigers' leading rusher and workhorse out of the backfield, tore three tendons in his left knee and will be out of action for a significant amount of time as a result.

Earlier reports indicated Josey had suffered some kind of rupture, but it turns out the injury was far worse than anticipated.

Just heard news about Tigers' Henry Josey. Triple tear--ACL, MCL, patellar tendon. Please keep him in your prayers.

Just an absolutely awful injury for any player to have to go through. He'll likely have a long road of rehab ahead after surgery to reconstruct his knee. Thoughts go out to the sophomore as he recovers.

For the season, Josey had 1,149 yards and nine touchdowns on 134 attempts for the Tigers, an average of 8.9 yards per carry.
