Alabama Vs. Mississippi State Halftime Score: All Territory Is Four-Down Territory

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Alabama Crimson Tide lead the Mississippi St. Bulldogs by only a touchdown at halftime. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's note the Tide have missed two field goals. But let's also note the Bulldogs missed a pair of field goals of their own. And that's four missed field goals by four different kickers.

Nothing makes sense. This game could easily be anywhere from 13-0 to 7-6.

Hoping you won't read far enough to make me recite offensive stats. You did! MSU has been held to 69, while Bama only has 124. A.J. McCarron has thrown for 75 yards, 25 of them to Kevin Norwood on a single completion. Eddie Lacy banged in a short touchdown. Nothing else has happened except for a bunch of defense and some missed kicks.

So exactly like last week for Alabama, except nobody's watching.
