Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State Final Score: Wildcats Win Marathon Game Over Aggies, 53-50 (OT)

Apparently, Texas A&M and the Big 12 have agreed on the exit fees for the Aggies' move to the SEC: A&M has to suffer through the most heart-breaking season in college football history.

The latest chapter in A&M's novel of swooning came Saturday in Manhattan, when the Aggies took a 14-0 early lead and a 10-point lead late in the fourth quarter and turned into a 53-50, four-overtime loss to Kansas State in a marathon game in Manhattan. The match-up took more than four hours to play.

After the first three overtimes ended with both teams gridlocked, Texas A&M took over on offense with the teams tied at 47, but a third-down play came up about a yard short of the first down. Rather than try to go for it and work towards a touchdown, Mike Sherman decided to take the field goal.

Kansas State countered with a three runs, including the apparent third-down conversion by Klein that was subject to instant replay. On first down, the Wildcats took a shot to the end zone -- which was interfered with by Texas A&M to set up a first and goal. Two quarterback sneaks got the ball across the goal line and give Kansas State the win.

Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State Overtime Score: Aggies, Wildcats Knotted At 47 Entering Fourth OT

Texas A&M has made a season of giving up leads late. This week, Kansas State has decided to join them.

Texas A&M stormed out to a 14-0 lead on a six-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill to Ryan Swope and a three-yard run by Jameill Showers. Kansas State close the gap, though, on a pair of Collin Klein rushing touchdowns. Eventually, Texas A&M staked itself to a 31-21 lead with 7:27 left in the game. But about a minute later, Collin Klein hit Chris Harper for a 53-yard touchdown; Anthony Cantele followed up a few minutes later with a field goal to tie it.

The first overtime started unconventionally, with Klein fumbling the ball -- to Tramaine Thompson, who recovered it for a touchdown. When A&M got the ball, Tannehill hit Jeff Fuller for a 9-yard touchdown reception. Both teams traded field goals in the second overtime.

Klein took control in the third overtime, running the ball in for his 23rd rushing touchdown of the year on the first play. But the Wildcats missed the two-point conversion. Then, on fourth-and-goal with the game on the line, Tannehill hit Uzoma Nwachukwu for an eight-yard touchdown -- and TAMU missed the two-pointer.

Cyrus Gray already has 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 28 carries. Ryan Tannehill was 24-of-43 for 195  yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Kansas State had more success throwing the football -- Collin Klein was 17-of-27 for 282 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He's rushed for 93 yards and four touchdowns on 31 carries

Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State Halftime Score: Aggies, Wildcats Knotted Up

The Texas A&M Aggies opened up a 14-point lead and looked ready to run away with things in their matchup with Kansas State. After a scoreless first quarter, the Aggies scored twice in the first four minutes of the second to take a 14-0 lead over the 14th-ranked team in the nation.

But the Wildcats battled back, closing the half with a flurry to knot things up heading into the break. Colin Klein used his legs both times, running it in from two and three yards out. Klein has been kept relatively in check on the ground, rushing for 20 yards and those two scores. Klein also completed 8-of-10 passes for 96 yards in the half.

Ryan Tannehill completed 12-of-20 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown, but also threw an interception in the first half. Cyrus Gray led all rushers, carrying the ball 10 times for 54. Jameill Showers also rushed for a touchdown.
