The Alabama Crimson Tide struggled with Mississippi State in Week 11. But they may have been the big winner of the week: just as in the Week 12 USA Today coaches poll, Alabama is back up to No. 3 in the Week 12 AP Poll, according to AP writer Ralph Russo.
No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Oklahoma State top the poll, but Alabama's just one spot behind the undefeated Cowboys, and it seems likely that the Tide would rise to No. 2 again should Oklahoma State lose.
LSU is also the first unanimous AP No. 1 during the regular season since Texas earned that distinction in 2008.
Meanwhile, Oregon vaults up to No. 4 after the Ducks' upset of Stanford, which slots in at No. 8, Boise State falls to No. 10 after its first loss, Georgia climbs to No. 13 after routing Auburn, and the AP Poll voters rank zero Big East teams after Cincinnati falls out of the top 25.
