Fozzy Whittaker Injury: Texas RB Out For The Season With Torn Knee Ligaments

It's been a bit of a rough week and a rough season for the Texas Longhorns. Following their 17-5 loss to the Missouri Tigers, Texas football sits at 3-3 in the Big 12 and is in need of a fantastic run to get to a January bowl. As if a schedule of Kansas State, at Texas A&M and at Baylor wasn't a tough enough road, they're going to have to navigate it without their leader in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns. News came out on Sunday that running back Fozzy Whittaker will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL and MCL.

The Longhorns got a preview of what life will be like without Whittaker this week, as he went down early in the first quarter. Without their best offensive weapon, Texas couldn't manage to score a touchdown. Whittaker had overcome injuries early in his career to become a major contributor to the Longhorns this season, but sadly, his terrible luck has reared its ugly head once again.
