You know, I'm kind of thinking Jay Paterno may not realize that his father Joe had his name removed from the Big Ten trophy for a good reason. But the younger Paterno's solution to that problem is at least a clever motivational tactic.
"The only reaction I had was, 'Let's get there and win it and put it on.' We'll bring our own Post-It note. That was my reaction. We'll bring a nice yellow Post-It Note and stick it right back on. We gotta get in the game first, and that all starts this week, it starts against Ohio State, and next Wisconsin. We gotta get to Indianapolis, and that's our goal.
Those comments came from an interview Paterno did with ESPN that aired during Penn State's game this Saturday against Ohio State. The Nittany Lions will likely need to win out to make their dreams of making things right in the world with a Post-It come true, but, hey, maybe this is the inspiration they need to do that, considering how easy it is to forget about their legendary coach no longer coaching them and all.
