The 6-5 Texas A&M Aggies host the 6-4 Texas Longhorns in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown on Thanksgiving night in College Station.
Texas A&M snapped a three-game losing streak with a 61-7 win over Kansas on Saturday, with senior quarterback Ryan Tannehill completing 21-of-26 pass attempts for 280 yards and three touchdowns. Tannehill leads the nation's 15th-ranked passing offense, completing over 63 percent of his 280 pass attempts this season for 3,191 yards with 26 touchdown passes, adding another 275 yards and four touchdowns with his legs. The Aggies also rank 18th on the ground, with senior Cyrus Gray running for 1,045 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season.
With three different quarterbacks this season, the Longhorns have leaned on their Top 20 rushing offense this season. Malcolm Brown, Joe Bergeron, Foswhitt Whittaker and D.J. Monroe have combined for over 1,700 yards with 17 touchdowns this season. The Longhorns are still adjusting to losing Whittaker, a dangerous return specialist with two 100-yard kick returns this season, to a torn ACL against Missouri on November 12 and have lost two straight heading into Thursday night.
