South Florida hosts Louisville in a Big East battle on Friday morning.
Despite their 4-0 start to the season, the Bulls' five-season streak of eight-win seasons is in jeopardy. A four-game losing streak was snapped in Syracuse on November 11, but last week's 6-3 loss to the Miami Hurricanes have South Florida at 5-5 on the season and in need of wins over Louisville and West Virginia and a win in a bowl game to get them to eight on the season.
Junior quarterback B.J. Daniels leads the Bulls offense, completing 60.4 percent of 321 pass attempts for 2,359 yards and 12 touchdown passes, adding 578 yards and five touchdowns with his legs. Running backs Darrell Scott and Demetri Murray complement Daniels, combing for 1,130 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.
Louisville wraps up their 2011 regular season on Friday morning and enter on a bit of a hot streak, rebounding from a 2-4 start to the season by winning four of their last five games, including a 34-20 win last week over UCONN to become bowl eligible for a second straight season under head coach Charlie Strong. True freshman quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is completing over 65 percent of his 225 pass attempts for 1,614 yards with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions and is tied for the team lead with three rushing touchdowns.
