Houston Vs. Tulsa Halftime Score: Cougars Lead By Three

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Houston Cougars' bid for a BCS bowl still looks intact, though the Tulsa Golden Hurricane are making them work. Tulsa had a lead for the majority of the first half, but Case Keenum was able to lead a touchdown drive late in the second quarter, sending his team into halftime with a 13-10 lead.

While all eyes are on Keenum, Tulsa quarterback G.J. Kinne is having an excellent game, while the Golden Hurricane have 110 rushing yards as a team. Tulsa opened the scoring in the first quarter with a Kinne touchdown pass to Willie Carter, but Houston quickly answered as Keenum hit Patrick Edwards just two minutes later. However, Matt Hogan missed the extra point, keeping Tulsa ahead by one point.

Tulsa added a field goal and forced Houston to punt four times, but Keenum hit Charles Sims for a touchdown with just over four minutes remaining in the half. This time, Hogan made the extra point, sending his team into the half up by three points.
