The Utah Utes has won four straight games to remain in contention for a spot in the inaugural Pac 12 championship game. However, that seemingly-easy feat could be in big trouble as the Colorado Buffaloes have taken a 10-0 lead into halftime against the Utes.
Colorado's Tyler Hansen is 16-of-26 for 198 yards. He kicked his big day off with a 12-play, 80-yard drive capped by a 1-yard TD run to open the game. The Buffs added to their leads in the 2nd quarter with a 23-yard field goal.
The Utes have been unable to establish any kind of offensive attack. John Hays is 5-of-7 for 22 yards while John White is their leading rusher with 19 yards on 8 carries.
The rookies of the Pac 12 are set up to become revived rivals in their new conference. A win here by Colorado could help that bad blood along much sooner than expected.
