Les Miles is like an adorable teddy bear. It's impossible to imagine a mean-spirited bone is his body, and acts that could be construed as such are instead explained away as "he didn't know any better." Which, really, is probably true. This is Les Miles we're talking about after all.
So when Miles says he wasn't going for style points and wasn't trying to run up the score on Bobby Petrino's Arkansas Razorbacks, I'm inclined to believe him. In fact, the way he explained it -- "We were just trying to figure out when to take a knee" -- is perfectly reasonable considering the source. But Petrino sure wasn't happy.
So the two exchanged a somewhat angry handshake. Well, it was more one-sided: Petrino was mad, Miles appeared to be trying to make a new friend. You just have to watch the angle provided by a local TV station to understand.
The "OH WOW" is just wonderful. Seriously, look at this face:
Add in Miles dead-panning "not many" when asked if he exchanged words with Petrino and ... well, Les is just too awesome. That's the only explanation here.
