Notre Dame and Wake Forest meet for the first time on Saturday in North Carolina.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to North Carolina to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Both teams come into this weekend's matchup at 5-3 on the year, needing one more win to become bowl eligible.
The Fighting Irish are coming off a 56-14 trouncing of Navy last weekend. The bounce-back win was needed: Notre Dame's loss to USC brought allegations of the team quitting and playing dead against the Trojans.
Wake Forest, on the other hand, is coming off a 49-24 loss to North Carolina. After rattling off four-straight wins early in the season, the Deacons have struggled, alternating wins and losses over the last three games.
Here's the information for Saturday's game.
Game date, time: 8 pm ET, Saturday, Nov. 5
Location: Groves Stadium, Winston-Salem, NC
TV channel: ABC/ESPN2
Spread: Notre Dame favored by 14
Series history: Saturday will be the first-ever meeting between these two teams.
