USC quarterback Matt Barkley set a school record for touchdown passes in a game on Friday night as the Trojans rolled to a 42-17 win over the Colorado Buffaloes. Colorado actually struck first, riding the momentum of a Friday night game in Boulder and a new uniform wrinkle -- the Buffaloes changed into black helmets just before the game. But it was all USC from there as the Trojans hit the throttle and Barkley throttled a depleted Colorado secondary.
Barkley threw for 326 yards and a school record six touchdown passes while also throwing an interception. Curtis McNeal rushed for a team-high 85 yards, with Amir Carlisle adding 62 yards. Robert Woods and Marquis Lee had nearly the same game, with the former picking up 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter finishing with 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Tony Clemons caught accounted for both Colorado touchdowns and picked up 111 yards on five catches.
