West Virginia and Louisville were reportedly in a derby to leave the Big East for the Big 12 as recently as a week or two ago. Today, in Morgantown, the Cardinals are looking for revenge of a sort against the Mountaineers, and have started well, claiming an early lead.
After West Virginia opened the scoring with a first-possession touchdown drive keyed by a great kickoff return, Louisville answered with two first quarter touchdowns of its own. Teddy Bridgewater's completed all five of his passe for 78 yards, and and Senorise Perry and Jeremy Wright each have rushing touchdowns for Louisville.
If West Virginia can't flash a little more than defensive indifference, things might get ugly for the Mountaineers.
