The easy way to overcome being outgained by almost 120 yards to get a halftime lead is to rely on defensive and special-teams touchdowns, but Southern Miss is taking the idea to a ridiculous extreme. The Golden Eagles have pick-sixed Dominique Davis of East Carolina twice, returned a punt for a touchdown and blocked another punt that was returned for a touchdown. They’ve also kicked a field goal.
