The Case Keenum show isn't quite as spectacular as last week, but the Houston Cougars still lead UAB at the half, 21-10. Considering the circumstances -- UAB has just one win on the year -- the halftime score would have to be considered somewhat of a surprise. The big play hasn't been there for the Cougars and Keenum, though accurate, isn't carving up the defense.
Keenum completed 21-of-25 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown in the half. He's just 99 yards from breaking Tommy Chang's NCAA career passing yardage mark. Keenum and Charles Sims also rushed for touchdowns in the half.
Jonathan Perry threw for 103 yards and a touchdown in the half for UAB. Patrick Hearn caught the touchdown pass for the first score of the game.
