After Jarrett Lee's second interception in as many attempts, Jordan Jefferson stepped back into the LSU Tigers huddle unlikely to be replaced. Down by three to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the third quarter, Jefferson led the Tigers on a three-first down drive in response.

But the Tide are catching on to LSU's option game. Forcing Jefferson to pitch to Michael Ford behind the line made for a third-and-long, and pressure required Jefferson to hurl it out of bounds. Advantage firmly in Alabama's possession.

At least Brad Wing redeemed himself for his earlier mispunt by situating the Tide inside the 15-yard line. The ball was fair caught by Alabama's backup return man, as Marquis Maze is on the sideline with an ankle injury.

A third-down Bama conversion put LSU in deep trouble, but Morris Claiborne jumped a route and came up with an interception returned to the Tide 15. Spencer Ware and Jefferson were stuffed, but Drew Alleman tied the game back up, 6-6.
