From the halftime score, you'd think North Dakota State has dominated Lehigh. It's 17-0 after two quarters. But looking more closely, it's clear the Mountain Hawks have held steady, but failed to make a handful of key plays.
Two missed fourth down conversions, plus a Chris Lum interception, have made the difference. Lehigh trailed the Bison by only 22 yards in the last minute of the second quarter, having grabbed three turnovers of their own but failing to do much of anything with them.
Brock Jensen has a pair of touchdowns, the first a 38-yarder to Warren Holloway and the second a one-yard plunge. Ryan Jastram tacked on a field goal in the closing seconds of the half.
The winner of this game will get the Georgia Southern Eagles next in the FCS playoffs semifinals. If NDSU can hang on, GSU will visit. A Lehigh victory will mean a trip to Statesboro.
