Has your coach applied to be the next head coach of the Hawaii Warriors? Yes. According to the Star Advertiser's Stephen Tsai, 30 applicants have put their names in to replace Greg McMackin in Honolulu.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, Utah Utes offensive coordinator Norm Chow, along with current Warriors associate head coach Rich Miano and director of player personnel George Lumpkin. Utes defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake, Navy Midshipmen OC Ivin Jasper, Baylor Bears associate coach Brian Norwood and Oregon St. Beavers defensive coordinator Mark Banker are also reportedly candidates, while Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo is reportedly not interested.

Whew!

Koetter's name is perhaps the most interesting, as he's overseeing a beleaguered NFL operation at the moment but does have quite a bit of college experience. He won two Big West Conference titles at Boise State before leading Arizona State to a couple of bowl wins, and spent more than a decade as a college offensive coordinator.

The Warriors went 6-7 in 2011, their second year without a bowl since June Jones left in 2008 and the third seven-loss season of the four-year McMackin era.
