Utah St. Aggies coach Gary Andersen has been involved in seven bowl games as a coach. Along with his time as Utah's defensive coordinator, Andersen is 7-0 in bowl games. He'll put that streak on the line when his Aggies take on the Ohio Bobcats in the 2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday.
Working in Andersen's favor is the fact that he and his team are familiar with the blue turf of Bronco Stadium. USU lost to Boise 50-14 last season. The team's not sure the experience will help them one way or another.
"I don't think it's necessarily an advantage to play there," linebacker Bobby Wagner said. "But we've been on the field before, so we're used to it. There's no mystery about seeing the field. I've seen it a couple of times, so it's nothing special."
This is his first bowl game as a head coach at Utah State, which could make bowl victory No. 8 his most special to date.
