Florida State cornerback Avis Commack was arrested on Friday for allegedly stealing an iPad.
Avis Commack, a cornerback for the Florida State Seminoles, was arrested earlier in the weekend on charges of felony grand theft. The charges apparently stem from allegations over a stolen iPad that was reported to the FSU Police Department early last week.
The arrest was confirmed by deputy police chief Jim Russell, but Warchant.com first reported the arrest of the cornerback. According to the website, police tracked Commack down after he'd logged into the campus's network using his student identification.
Russell said that the device began popping up as active on the FSU network. Allegedly, the device was logged in several times with Commack's student login information.
A warrant was issued and officers came to University Center D - the football facility and offices - to meet with Commack. Russell said that Commack handed over the iPad, but said he had found it.
"(Commack) was very cooperative," Russell said.
WarChant also reported that Commack, a redshirt junior, graduated from the university over the weekend.
