The Florida Atlantic Owls need a new coach for the first time in their Division I-A history, amid the pending retirement of program papa Howard Schnellenberger. That coach is expected to be Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive coordinator Carl Pelini, according to ESPN's Joe Schad. He'll be formally introduced on Monday, according to the Associated Press.
Pelini has been Nebraska's DC since 2008, assisting his brother, head coach Bo Pelini. He's highly regarded and all, but can Pelini, any Pelini, say things like this?
We had to come up with some good plays at the end there to win it, but we did force them to resort to the f---ing fumblerooski. I told them before the game if those bastards have to run the fumblerooski, come to the sidelines and party because they have given up their right of manhood.
