Former Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris' college football career has been in limbo since he was dismissed from the team a few weeks ago, but it now appears he'll attempt to catch on in the NFL. According to a report on Wednesday, Harris will declare for the 2012 NFL Draft, forgoing his remaining collegiate eligibility.
The report comes from Tony Pauline on Twitter.
To the surprise of no one several sources have said Cliff Harris/CB/x-Oregon will enter the #NFLDraft
After being dismissed from the team by Oregon head coach Chip Kelly, Harris also had the option to transfer down a level and play immediately, or transfer to another FBS school, sitting out a year to regain eligibility. The NFL Draft, however, has always seemed like Harris' likely next move, though it's unknown where his draft stock lies this year, especially when factoring in the discipline issues he ran into at Oregon.
