Read More: Geno Smith (QB - West Virginia), West Virginia Mountaineers, Clemson Tigers
With finals over and the rest of the students home for the holidays, the West Virginia Mountaineers football players are focused solely on the Clemson Tigers, their opponent in the 2012 Orange Bowl on January 4, reports Chip Fontanazza of the West Virginia MetroNews.
"I don’t believe you can over prepare, but I believe bowl prep is pretty good because you get a lot more time to just focus on football," explained quarterback Geno Smith. "School is out and everyone is gone pretty much so there are no distractions. We’re just here bonding as a team and just working on our craft and getting as good as we can be."
The Tigers are preparing for a high-powered Mountaineers offense that ranked seventh in the nation with 341.8 passing yards per game under first-year head coach Dana Holgorsen, a discipline of Mike Leach, writes Travis Sawchik of The Post and Courier.
