Oregon Lineman Mark Asper Saved A Man's Life

Stay connected with SB Nation

As we've seen from some of the fun pictures to have surfaced this week, Oregon and Wisconsin are in California preparing for the Rose Bowl. Between practices, there's time for play, which included a trip to Disneyland on Tuesday. There's also large dinners and various other game-week activities that both teams partake in. They're fun events, and memories players will keep for a lifetime.

But one of these activities, the Lawry's Beef Bowl, appears to have saved a life. No, it wasn't a player's life, but Oregon offensive lineman Mark Asper made use of the Heimlich to save a choking man, Adam Jude reports.

This is the same Mark Asper who compared preseason rankings to Baywatch dialogue before the 2011 season. In other words, Mark Asper should be your favorite offensive lineman.
