Texas Tech defensive coordinator Chad Glasgow is on his way out of Lubbock.

2011 Texas Tech Red Raiders defensive coordinator Chad Glasgow is no longer part of the program, as of Thursday. Glasgow served in Lubbock for a single season. Reasons for his departure aren't official yet, but this is becoming a frequent occurrence -- and not just at defensive coordinator. Head coach Tommy Tuberville has already made multiple coaching rearrangements this offseason.

Glasgow replaced James Willis, who himself was only around for one year, though he left under strange circumstances. The spot hasn't had stability since Mike Leach's defensive coordinator, Ruffin McNeil, was elevated to the interim spot in 2009 before leaving for the East Carolina Pirates head job.

It's not easy to evaluate a coach after just one season, but Tech was indeed horrid on defense in 2011. Ranking 115th in the country, they actually fell in the national rankings by a single spot. This is all far worse than the D fared during Leach's years, which makes no sense.
