For what it's worth, a Houston AM radio station is reporting Houston Cougars head coach Kevin Sumlin will shortly be unveiled as the next Texas A&M Aggies coach. The report came out during the closing seconds of the 2011 Conference USA Championship, which saw Sumlin's Cougars get shocked by Southern Miss.

Jefferson Powell@JeffersonPowell CBS Houston is reporting that Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin will be named Texas A&M head coach within 24 hours. #UHCougars

Sumlin's been A&M's reported top target for a few days now, also reportedly drawing interest from around the Pac-12. Take it for what it's worth, but we've now entered the point at which the murmurs go from Sumlin being targeted to Sumlin being hired.

If accurate, it would mean a jump from Conference USA to the SEC for Sumlin.
