Oklahoma State Vs. Oklahoma Final Score: Cowboys Crush Sooners, 44-10, Ace Final BCS Exam

Oklahoma State let up on the gas in the fourth quarter of its Bedlam blowout of Oklahoma. No matter: the Cowboys' 44-10 romp over the Sooners in Stillwater should still do wonders for their BCS stock.

Go here for Bedlam score updates and conversation.

Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden threw for just 217 yards, ceding the spotlight to a surprisingly strong running game. Joseph Randle rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns for the Cowboys, while Jeremy Smith added 95 rushing yards and two touchdowns of his own.

But it was Oklahoma State's defense that stole the show with the opportunism that fans have come to expect and resistance to an excellent offense that came as a bit of a surprise. The Cowboys forced five turnovers in the game, and returned one fumble for a touchdown, while holding an Oklahoma offense that averages almost 550 yards per game to just 358 yards on the night.

Dominance on both sides of the ball in a rivalry game that had gone to the Sooners for the last eight years is probably very satisfying for the Cowboys. If this win vaults them over Alabama in the all-important polls prior to the final BCS rankings, it might become the most significant win in the program's history.
