Northwestern looks to pick up their first bowl win since 1949 while Texas A&M tries to win a bowl for their interim head coach.
The Northwestern Wildcats are looking to pick up their first bowl victory since 1949. Under head coach Pat Fitzgerald, the Wildcats have now made four consecutive bowl games, but they've lost the previous three in heartbreaking fashion. Senior quarterback Dan Persa will try to end his career picking up the school's first bowl victory in over 60 years. To do so, the Wildcats will need to slow down the high powered Texas A&M offense.
The Texas A&M Aggies on the other hand are just trying to salvage a disappointing season after the firing of head coach Mike Sherman. Senior quarterback Ryan Tannehill will get one last impression on game film for NFL scouts as he gets ready to head for the NFL draft. The Aggies closed out their season losing four of their last five games, while showing a penchant to give up games late. Both teams are looking to finish their seasons above .500.
Game date, time: 12:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, December 31st
Location: Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX
TV channel: ESPN/ESPN3
Odds: Texas A&M favored by 10
