It might not be the best bowl game, but it's the best bowl trip. The Nevada Wolf Pack will meet the Conference USA champion Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the 2011 Hawaii Bowl, all the while not having the fly to Detroit or New York City. Life is hard.
@NevadaWolfPack We're pleased to accept an invitation to
@HawaiiBowl to face@USMGoldenEagles at 5 p.m. on ESPN on Dec. 24!
The Sheraton Hawaiʻi Bowl has been played annually at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii since 2002. Typically played on either Christmas Day or Christmas Eve, the game matches teams from either Conference USA or the Pac-10 vs. WAC member schools.This year the game will be played December 24th and televised on ESPN. As you might imagine, Hawai'i has played in the most games with six, winning three and losing three. Nevada (2) is the only other school to play in more than one. Last year, Tulsa defeated Hawai'i 62-35 in front of a game-record crowd of 43,673.
