The TicketCity Bowl doesn't have much history to it yet; it only had its inaugural game on Jan. 1, 2011. This game took over the actual Cotton Bowl stadium when that bowl game went to the fancy Cowboys Stadium. In the first game, the Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the Northwestern Wildcats, 45-38.
While a Big 12 team participated in the first TicketCity Bowl game, Conference USA is now the other tie-in team with the Big Ten.
Game date, time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Cotton Bowl, Fair Park, Dallas, Tx.
TV channel: ESPNU
2010 winner and loser: Texas Tech def. Northwestern, 45-38
