Clemson Vs. West Virginia, 2012 Orange Bowl: Tigers, Mountaineers Expect High-Scoring Affair

The Clemson Tigers and the West Virginia Mountaineers have had their struggles this season, but for the most part offense hasn't been the problem. Both teams enter the 2012 Orange Bowl among the best in the country in total offense, with the Tigers averaging over 440 yards  per game and the 'Eers just a shade under 460 yards. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said he that he expects plenty of fireworks for the matchup.

"I'd be surprised if there's not some points scored in this one,"Swinney said. "I don't think it will be a 6-3 ball game like some of the other games.

"This should be an exciting game for the fans."

Quarterback Geno Smith finished the regular season ranked seventh in the country with 3,978 passing yards for West Virginia. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was just two spots behind with 3,578 yards. It may not be the most highly anticipated among this season's BCS bowl slate, but this year's Orange Bowl could ultimately wind up among the most entertaining.
