The Arkansas Razorbacks have filled their defensive coordinator position, completing the search and hiring Paul Haynes to fill the position the Arkansas athletic department confirmed. Previously, Haynes was the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Former Arkansas defensive coordinator Willy Robinson resigned after spending four seasons on Bobby Petrino's staff. Paul Haynes will not coach for the Buckeyes in the Gator Bowl in their match up with the Florida Gators in Jacksonville, Florida on January 2nd. The 2011 season was Haynes first as a co-defensive coordinator, as he took over the position when Luke Fickell took the interim head coaching position. It was unlikely that Haynes would have remained on the staff with new head coach Urban Meyer.
