Curt Maggitt, a very large outside linebacker from West Palm Beach, Florida, has signed a letter of intent to play college football with the Tennessee Volunteers. The four-star prospect from Dwyer High School in West Palm Beach, Florida made a verbal commitment to the Vols on Signing Day eve:
"After talking to my brother, my dad and my coach, I did what was best for me ... And Tennessee is best for me."
What made Tennessee the best place for the 6-3, 195 pound weakside linebacker was the people in Knoxville.
"The coaching staff, the players there, they all made you feel at home," Maggitt said. "The made me feel so welcome on the visit and they were so real with me. And they offer the opportunity to play early."
Maggitt fielded offers from a couple dozen top programs, including half of the SEC (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and South Carolina) as well as Florida State, Miami, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame.
