Cyrus Kouandjio Picks Auburn Over New Mexico In Signing Day Shocker

Cyrus Kouandjio, an offensive tackle from Hyattsville, Maryland, has signed with the Auburn football Tigers. The DeMatha High standout is the nation's top-ranked OT prospect per Rivals, the top prospect in Maryland, and the fourth-ranked high school recruit overall.

Kouandjio had offers from such storied programs as Iowa, Miami, USC, UCLA, and Oklahoma, but his final decision came down to Alabama, Auburn, and New Mexico. Yes, the New Mexico coached by Mike Locksley. Yes, that's this guy. We do not understand this any more than you do, we assure you.

Kouandjio weighs in at 6'7" and 322 lbs., and comes slathered with metaphor-laden praise:

Massive, athletic body with wide shoulders and barrel chest. Kouandjio also has very long, muscular limbs and resembles a cross between a giant tight end and WWE wrestler.
