UNC's Quinton Coples Questioned By NCAA About NFL Draft Party With Marvin Austin, According To Report
North Carolina Tar Heels football program, you are relentless. Rising senior DE Quinton Coples is under NCAA investigation for his attendance at a NFL Draft party with former teammates Marvin Austin and Robert Quinn, according to ESPN's Joe Schad. Austin and Quinn were both punished during last season's UNC football mega-investigation, which still has yet to run its course.
Yes, this is a whole new investigation into UNC football parties. Wheeee!
Schad cites the website EliteDCMag.com as having posted the photos, tagged with the location Ultrabar. I spent a couple minutes looking through the website for photos of Coples, but, man, that is one difficult-to-navigate website.
Is Coples any good? Oh yes. Mel Kiper lists him second to only Andrew Luck on his list of 2012 NFL Draft prospects, while Mocking The Draft thinks the 2011 season could end with him being considered the best prospect at his position. If he's not able to play, this will indeed be the Marvin Austin situation all over again, though nothing's been determined at this point, of course.
