Baton Rouge police are searching the home of LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson for evidence in their investigation into a bar fight early last Friday morning that involved four members of the LSU football team, The Advocate reports.

In addition to Jefferson, offensive lineman Chris Davenport, linebacker Josh Johns, and wide receiver Jarvis Landry were interviewed by police on Tuesday. The players could face charges of second-degree battery (which can carry a sentence of up to five years in jail), a felony, and simple battery.

"We are still on a fact-finding mission," Chief Dewayne White said, according to Jim Kleinpeter of The Times-Picayune. "We still have a multitude of witnesses to interview. This case is far from over."

In an email statement to the media on Wednesday, the Baton Rouge police department said they were continuing the interview process, but no arrests were expected to be made.
