Texas revealed its 2011 depth chart on the Longhorn Network Monday. That the Texaswide Leader spent only an hour on the task should be applauded, I guess, but you'd think they'd rather take two or three, because what else are they going to talk about for the other 167 hours this week? Rice football?
The biggest note: Garrett Gilbert is starting over Case McCoy. True freshman Jaxon Shipley earned a starting spot, though the nation's lazy sportswriters were really hoping to be able to trot out the same best friend stories they used for respective big brothers Jordan Shipley and Colt McCoy.
