Brandon Willis, UCLA Football Transfer, Mid-Bounce: 'I'm Planting Roots Now'

When last we left once-heralded four-star defensive tackle prospect Brandon Willis, he was ... well, he was either transferring to or fro the Tennessee Volunteers, North Carolina Tar Heels, UCLA Bruins or elsewhere. Now, after leaving UNC earlier this summer, Willis says he's finally found a new home: right back in Los Angeles:

"I'm planting roots now," Willis said. "This is where I want to be. Coach Neuheisel has welcomed me back with open arms."

Jokes aside, at least one of his moves was for family reasons, as he had an ailing grandmother in North Carolina, though his latest maneuver is due to a disagreement with a position coach. He says he considered moving to a Division I-AA school, which would've allowed him to play in 2011, but adds that he'll ask the NCAA to let him play this year anyway.

Willis seems like a bright guy -- he had a 4.0 GPA in high school -- who's just needed some time to figure out where he wants to be for the next four years PLEASE ALL FOUR YEARS PLEASE.
