The Texas A&M Aggies were reportedly expected to announce their departure from the Big 12 on Tuesday, but apparently have given the conference a little bit of a head start on digesting the news. The New York Times' Pete Thamel reports Texas A&M president "R. Bowen Loftin sent a letter to the Big 12 board chairman, the Missouri chancellor Brady Deaton, notifying the league that the Aggies would formally withdraw." Thamel reports the announcement is expected to be made on Tuesday.
Ducks all in a row and so forth. If everything goes according to plan, hopefully the SEC will scoop up the Aggies on Wednesday and we can get down to the business of football teams playing football.
