Texas A&M junior linebacker Kyle Mangan was arrested early Sunday morning for fighting, according to a report by the Houston Chronicle. Mangan was one of three people arrested in the incident taking place in College Station's Northgate bar district. Head coach Mike Sherman responded with some above average coachspeak.
"I have been made aware and it is an unfortunate incident,"
said. "Seems like some people have too much free time on their hands. That will be addressed shortly, as well as facing the consequences for this untimely and avoidable incident." Sherman
Mangan had been a valuable contributor as a freshman, starting 10 games for the Aggies. Shoulder struggles have kept him off the field the past two season, however. With camp starting Tuesday, Mangan will no doubt have to earn his way back into Sherman's good graces.
Mangan was released Sunday on bond.
