For question marks and unpredictability, it's hard to beat Saturday's Notre Dame Fighting Irish-Michigan Wolverines game. Notre Dame's offense moved the ball extremely well against South Florida, but beat themselves with bad turnovers. Michigan "defeated" Western Michigan last week, but didn't actually finish the game. Does giving up 10 points to the Broncos in two and-a-half quarters and a monsoon constitute an improved defense? No one knows.
Between Notre Dame benching Dayne Crist and starting Tommy Rees, the way they moved the ball last week, and the frequency with which they turned the ball over, their offense is completely unpredictable. Meanwhile, Michigan's Denard Robinson could very easily run for five touchdowns or get injured on the first play. Michigan's defense could be much improved, or it could give up 50 points to Notre Dame if the Irish keep the turnovers down.
Predictions for this one are pointless. Please do not gamble on it unless you are both rich and a crazy person.
