The new-look Big Ten has four teams in the top 20 of both the Week 3 polls in the college football rankings. That makes up for losing Penn State's ranking, right?
The highest-ranked Big Ten team in either poll is Wisconsin, which checks in at No. 7 in the AP Poll. The Badgers are No. 8 in the USA Today poll, though, and one of just two Big Ten teams in the top ten — Nebraska, No. 10 in both polls, is the other.
Michigan State and Ohio State bring up the rear of the Big Ten contingent. The Spartans are No. 15 in both polls, while the Buckeyes take the No. 16 spot in the coaches poll and the No. 17 slot in the AP Poll. The Spartans shut out Florida Atlantic on Saturday, while Ohio State struggled with Toledo.
Michigan, which prevailed in dramatic fashion against Notre Dame, didn't crack the top 25 in either poll. Penn State fell out of both polls after a 27-11 loss to Alabama.
