Good news for the Minnesota Golden Gophers family. Head coach Jerry Kill, who suffered a seizure in the Golden Gophers' home season opener against New Mexico State, has been released from the hospital and is now resting at home, according to the school.

Gopher football team physician Dr. Pat Smith made the announcement. While Kill has been released, Smith was unable to say with certainty if the head coach would coach at Saturday's game vs. Miami (Ohio), saying that it would be up to Kill.

"I'm pleased to report that Coach Kill has been discharged from care," said Dr. Smith. "He is in good spirits and eager to get back to work. He has no restrictions and is free to return to work when he feels up to it."

There is currently no planned media availability for any of the players or coaches, including Jerry Kill. He was not at Thursday's practice.
